Ernst Dommershuijzen of Mainstream Netservice has unveiled a preview version of his virtual recreation of Amsterdam's Crystal Palace (the Paleis voor Volksvlijt). The original building, which opened in 1864, was destroyed by fire in 1929. The new 3D model resurrects the building as an immersive, interactive environment which, when complete, will serve as an online meeting space and exhibition hall.
